ABSTRACTS

Please use the abstract template (.doc .pdf) to prepare your abstract and please send no more than one page. The abstract template is in both .doc and .pdf format and describes the required margins, fonts etc. If you cannot use the .doc format please format your abstract according to the instructions given.

Abstracts should be sent to Mr Gavin Perri (perri@rsc.anu.edu.au) in .pdf format. Please also include in the email your preference for presentation type (oral or poster) and under which topic you will be presenting (see list below). You can contact Mr Gavin Perri if you require any assistance.

The Topics for Aperiodic 2012 are;

1: Festive celebration of the award of the 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Dan Shechtman for the discovery of quasicrystals
2: Crystallographic and structural studies of aperiodic crystals
3: Mathematics of aperiodic order
4: Metallurgy, synthesis, growth and stability of aperiodic crystals and related complex metallic alloys
5: Frustration, defects, partial order, correlated disorder, and structured diffuse scattering
6: Electronic, magnetic and other physical properties of aperiodic crystals
7: Dynamics of aperiodic crystals
8: Aperiodic surfaces, thin films and adsorbates
9: Quasiperiodic soft matter and biomolecular aperiodic ordering
10: Applications of aperiodic crystals, including metamaterials and photonic quasicrystals
11: Other (please avoid as much as possible)

The deadline for Abstract submission has been extended to the 1st of April 2012.

Authors will be informed of acceptance and whether their presentations will be oral or poster presentations by mid-April 2012.
