A User's Guide to UNIX and Workstations

Abstract:

This guide is intended as a description of typical features of the UNIX operating system and related software packages (e.g. editors, compilers, graphics, word processing) that are found within a workstation environment. Specific reference will be made to the IBM RT PC workstation and the IBM implementation of UNIX, AIX. The emphasis will be on topics of interest in scientific programming (e.g. Fortran 77 programming).
