Advanced course

Multidimensional NMR in Solution

James Cook University in Cairns, QLD, 16-20 August 2010

Organizer:
G. Otting (programme)
Lecturers:
S. Glaser (TU München) G. Otting (ANU Canberra)
C. Griesinger (MPI Göttingen) A. Palmer (Columbia Univ. New York)
S. Grzesiek (Biocenter Basel) M. Sattler (TU München)

Like its predecessors in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008, this high-level course covered NMR theory and methodology for the study of the structure and dynamics of biomolecules in solution. The course was modelled on the biennial EMBO course on Multidimensional NMR in Structural Biology in Il Ciocco (Italy): the material used and almost all of the lecturers were from the EMBO course held prior in Il Ciocco in August 2010. The material used was by S. Glaser (München), C. Griesinger (Göttingen), S. Grzesiek (Basel), J. Keeler (Cambridge), A. Palmer (New York), M. Sattler (München). Lectures were followed by problem solving sessions in small groups. Participants were experienced NMR researchers, postdocs and advanced PhD students from all over the world.
