Structural Biology and Biophysics by NMR Spectroscopy
Group leader: Professor Gottfried Otting (Curriculum
vitae)
Research field: NMR spectroscopy,
in particular the development of methods for improved 3D structure determinations
of proteins and protein-ligand complexes by high-resolution NMR spectroscopy.
Focus: NMR
techniques, labelling techniques (cell-free protein expression, proteins with paramagnetic lanthanide tags).
The group is located in the RSC
It was started with a Federation
Fellowship awarded to Gottfried Otting in 2001. The RSC hosts six NMR spectrometers operating at different fields, with cryoprobes on the 600 and 800 MHz instruments.
Positions for PhD students and postdocs! NMR spectroscopy/physics/physical chemistry, protein biochemistry, organic chemistry...
