Easter Saturday 2001, 7.45am, looking due north from Mt Townsend summit. Although you would never guess from the photograph, the temperature is -10C.
Mt Alice Rawson (2160m, 36° 24.941'S, 148° 15.820'E) is visible extreme right and slightly to its left but on the horizon,
is Mt Jagungal (2061m, 36° 08.910'S, 148° 23.250'E).

Looking south west over the Abbot Range. The nearest peak is Abbot Peak (2145m, 36° 25.713'S, 148° 15.166'E). The hills behind, are unnamed.
The pyramidal shadow is of Mt Townsend. In fact if resolution permitted, you would be able to see my shadow at the very apex.
The shadow apex touches the border with Victoria at the Murray River. You can see fog in the Murray River valley 1600m below.
