HELP WITH THESIS FORMAT

Are you definitely NOT a computer nerd!!? Want to avoid hours learning how to set up your thesis with Chapter headings, formats, styles etc?

Spend time on the substance of your thesis and not on presentation alone. Marie Lawrence (Room E110) can help you with a thesis template. Carolyn Jacob (Room E11) is also willing to help prepare a format for structures and graphics and answer your questions as to how to paste diagrams into your thesis etc. Max Keniry and Tin Culnane are working on a standardized way of incorporating NMR spectra and results into theses. We are trying to build up a pool of expertise to solve problems typically encountered when writing up theses so that we can help future students to minimize time spent on presentation.

Graduate teaching Program

If you would like to know more contact me or ask Alex Duncan who is currently doing the Course.

THE WONDERS OF ENDNOTE

Do you know about the wonders of Endnote and how to create number referencing for your thesis using it? If not, Anna Croft has kindly written up a 3 page handy hints guide. If interested see either me or Marie Lawrence.

SNACK FOOD

A student has recently approached me re the possibility of a Snacks Machine at RSC. Are there any other night-owl students out there who would like me to chase up this possibility?
