Foundations of statistical mechanics. Chaos and the foundations of statistical mechanics. Statistical mechanics of dense fluids. Computer simulations of viscous flow and heat flow in molecular liquids. Molecular basis of rheology.

2012     My paper ÒA mathematical proof of the zeroth ÒlawÓ of thermodynamics and the nonlinear Fourier ÒlawÓ for heat flowÓ, was listed as one of the 20 most downloaded papers of any volume of Journal of Chemical Physics in November, 2012.

2012     Beyond Boltzmann's H-theorem: Demonstration of the relaxation theorem for a non-monotonic approach to equilibrium, was listed as one of the 20 most highly downloaded papers of January 2012 in Journal of Chemical Physics.

2012     My paper ÒOn the entropy of relaxing Hamiltonian systemsÓ was again listed among the Journal of Chemical PhysicsÕ 20 most downloaded papers.

2011     My paper, "On the entropy of relaxing Hamiltonian systems"  was selected to be among the Journal of Chemical Physics, ÒEditorsÕ Choice Awards for 2011Ó. To qualify for such an award a paper should be ÒseminalÓ and should describe Òground breaking researchÓ.

2011     My paper, "On the entropy of relaxing Hamiltonian systems" was selected as a Research Highlight for November 2011 by Journal of Chemical Physics. It was also listed as one of that JournalÕs 20 most downloaded papers in any volume of that journal, for the month of November, 2011.

2011     Festschrift in honour of D.J. Evans, ÒNonequilibrium processes: The Last 40 years and the FutureÓ, Obergurgl, Austria.

2010     My paper, ÒMusings on thermostatsÓ was one of Journal of Chemical PhysicsÕ monthly top 20 most-downloaded articles for 2010.

2009     My paper, "On violations of Le Chatelier's principle for a temperature change in small systems observed for short times" in Journal of Chemical Physics was selected for the December 15, 2009 issue of Virtual Journal of Biological Physics Research.  The Virtual Journal, which is published by the American Physical Society and the American Institute of Physics in cooperation with numerous other societies and publishers, is an edited compilation of links to articles from participating publishers, covering a focused area of frontier research.

2009     My paper, "On violations of Le Chatelier's principle for a temperature change in small systems observed for short times" was listed by Journal of Chemical Physics as one of the 20 most downloaded papers in any volume of that Journal, in December 2009.

2007     My paper ÒAn optical trap experiment to demonstrate fluctuation theorems in viscoelastic mediaÓ was chosen as an annual highlight paper by the Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics (JOPA).
